Description of Enhancement/Fix

LiveReport

If you design a LiveReport for legal size paper, you can now preview and print the report from within ChildPlus DataEngine.  In previous versions of ChildPlus, text was either being cut off on the right side of the page (if printed in landscape mode) or extra white space was being left on the bottom of the page (if printed in portrait mode).

Report 2316 - Daily Sign-In and Sign-Out Worksheet

This report was re-designed so that each row now has more space available for signatures. Each page of this report will now accommodate 20 signatures as well as totals.

Report 3035 - Latest Occurrence of Health Events

Results data is no longer being duplicated on this report.  In previous versions of ChildPlus, results were printing twice in the fourth column on the report.  In addition, growth assessment information included on this report will now print in a larger font.

All Enhancements and Fixes Included in this Release

The following table lists each of the general enhancements and fixes that ChildPlus incorporated into this release of DataEngine version 1.34:

Description of Enhancement/Fix

CreativeCurriculum.net

If you terminate a participant in DataEngine and choose to archive them, you will now have up to 14 days after their termination date to enter assessment information into CreativeCurriculum.net.

Education

If you enter a date in the First Education Home Visit field and click Save, the date will no longer disappear.

Entry Date

ChildPlus recently modified the way the Entry Date field works by lifting the restriction that formerly made it impossible to set a participant's Entry Date as occurring after their Termination Date. This restriction was lifted so it will be easier to work with participants who were terminated from a program before re-enolling in it. By allowing you to assign an Entry Date that occurs after the participant's Termination Date, you will be able to make the Entry Date occur on the same day that the participant re-enrolls in the program.

In addition, if you  choose an Entry Date using the calendar, DataEngine will automatically copy the date you choose into the Enrollment Date field. DataEngine will also automatically copy the Entry Date you enter if you manually type an Entry Date and then use the Tab key to move to the Enrollment Date field. Keep in mind that a participant's Entry Date does not have to be the same as their Enrollment Date. Therefore, if you do not want a participant's Entry Date to be the same as their Enrollment Date, you can always delete any Enrollment Date that DataEngine fills in for you.

Family Application

ChildPlus resolved an issue that was preventing information for each family member from printing on application forms.

Growth Assessments

DataEngine now always calculates growth assessments correctly.  In previous versions of DataEngine, they were not being calculated correctly if you entered a height/weight but failed to enter the date that the assessment took place.

Health Utility

You can now add well baby checks using the Health Utility.

In-Kind Utility

The Description field no longer allows you to enter more than 32 characters.  In previous versions of DataEngine, you could enter more than 32, however, doing so would result in a system error.

Licensing Information

ChildPlus modified the way that licenses are enforced in DataEngine.  Now, a license will only be considered as being used if it is being used to enroll a child in a program term that has not ended (DataEngine determines when a program term ends based on the End Date you assign in Program Information).  As soon as a program term ends, all the licenses that were used to enroll children in that program term will become available so you can enroll children in new program terms.  ChildPlus instituted this change so that licenses are available to you at the beginning of each school year.  It will also give you more flexibility in completing your Prepare for Next Program Term (PNPT) tasks.

Paper Applications

You can now print application forms from the Family Intake module in DataEngine without receiving an low memory error.  Not all clients were receiving this error, however, if you were then it will no longer occur.

PIR - A.14

DataEngine is now counting participants who are terminated and assigned a W - No Show code before being re-enrolled for question A.14.

PIR C.17.B

DataEngine is now counting participants who have the Treatment - Restoration, Pulp, etc. C.17 box checked for question C.17. B.

Reporting Fixes

The following table lists each of the report fixes that ChildPlus incorporated into this release of DataEngine version 1.34:

Report Number

Description

1130 - Personnel User Defined Fields

DataEngine now displays the Program field on this report.

1310 - Individual Training Record

Staff members included on this report with now display as Trainee Type: Staff.  In previous versions of DataEngine, they were being displayed as Trainee Type: Other.

2005 - Management Report - End of Month Enrollment

ChildPlus updated the link to the ACF website address that displays on this report.

This report is now including terminated participants whose replacements were enrolled after the End of Enrollment date specified on the Report Setup screen.

This report no longer lists participants as being terminated if you run it on the same day that a participant was transferred. In previous versions of DataEngine, a participant could incorrectly be listed as having a status of terminated simply because the report was generated on the same day that the participant was transferred.

2190 - Preliminary Center Roster

You can now run this report in ChildPlus DataEngine without receiving an error message.

2210 - Enrollment Turnover

Changes related to how Enrollment Turnover is calculated on this report:

This report will now determine the earliest date that participants were enrolled in the program term for each classroom and will not show the vacancies that were filled on that date. This change was made because the feedback we received from users indicated that this information was not needed for the very first day of the program term.

This report now counts any participant who has been terminated because they completed a program or a program term as being an open slot.

By default, the Count participants that transferred as withdrawn if data option will now be unchecked when you open the Report Setup screen.

You can no longer run this report for an inactive funding source.

Changes related to Begin Date and End Date

Data Options for this report:

The report now shows all transactions that took place between the Begin Date and End Date you specify. This includes terminations, transfers (if the Count participants that transferred as withdrawn if box is checked as a Data Option), and enrollments (participants who started school).

The report now shows all vacancies (both ones created by a child terminating and ones that were original enrollment slots that haven't been filled yet) as of the Begin Date you specify.

This report will show any enrollments that occurred after the End Date you specify if the enrolled participant is replacing a participant (or filling a vacancy) that appears on the report.

This report now fills slots when you check Same Program and use the Advanced Setup options.

Additional changes to this report:

The label that used to read Show turnover for all participants withdraw between was changed to more accurately reflect what it really meant.  It now reads Display enrollment slots left vacant for at least 1 day between.

DataEngine now calculates the Days Remaining for this report.

This report no longer lists participants as being terminated if you run it on the same day that a participant was transferred. In previous versions of DataEngine, a participant could incorrectly be listed as having a status of terminated simply because the report was generated on the same day that the participant was transferred.

ChildPlus resolved an issue that was preventing slots from being filled if you used the Advanced Setup option and selected Replace Participant in Same Program as the Turnover Criteria.

2316 - Daily Sign-In and Sign-Out Worksheet

This layout of this report was resized so that both totals and up to 20 participants will fit on one page.

2370 - Participant CACFP Roster

The CACFP Income that displays on this report is now being pulled from the Family Information tab in Family Intake.  In previous versions of DataEngine, CACFP Income was being pulled from the Family Member tab.

3030 - Participant Health Summary

This report now accurately reflects the growth assessment values that you enter into DataEngine.  In previous versions of DataEngine, growth assessment values were automatically being rounded up.

3035 - Health Event Status

You can now run this report in ChildPlus DataEngine without receiving an error message.

In addition to height and weight, this report now also prints BMI and Head Circumference for growth assessments.

You can now run the Health Events.Followup Assessment Needed EQUALS 'True' custom filter with this report and it will return all health events that need a follow-up assessment.  In previous versions of DataEngine, you could apply this custom filter to reports, however, it would only return health events that needed assessments if the events had actions associated with them.

3390 - California Immunization Card

When you print this report, the state seal now appears darker.

3501 - Management Report - Disabilities

Participants will now only be counted on this report if the An area of concern has been identified box is checked in their Disability record.

5440 - Classroom Profile

This report only allows you to include 25 children per classroom.  Because of this restriction, it now displays a warning message if you select more than 25 participants.
